Minimum Education Required: Associates Degree, BSN preferred. Completion of BSN within 2 years of hire required.
Minimum Licensure/Certifications Required: Current RN or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing. AHA BCLS and ACLS current upon hire.
Minimum Experience Required: One year as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program, or acceptance into a THR residency program. Previous experience as a Cath Lab RN.
Minimum Skills Required: A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills and ability to function in a fast-paced environment. Required knowledge and experience in the cath lab environment as an RN responsible for circulating, hemodynamic monitoring, and patient management. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to make independent decisions while maintaining tact, maturity and a positive attitude. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
Preferred Skills: Interventional Radiology Experience 1-2 years Critical Care/ER Experience
Work Hours/Schedule: 40 hours per week M-F and rotating call schedule.
Duties/Responsibilities: Actively incorporates the Quality Caring Model into everyday nursing practice. Exhibits teamwork by communicating and collaborating with all members of the care team. Actively participates in shared governance at the unit, entity and system level. Actively seeks opportunity for professional development.
