Texas Health Resources RN-OR-Cardio-Thoracic Surgery Lead-HEB in Bedford, Texas
Texas Health Resources is looking to fill their Registered Nurse Operating Room CV Surgery Lead position.
Required minimum education:
*RNs hired after January 2017 require completion of BSN within 2 years of start date. RNs hired between January 2014 and December 2016 require completion of BSN within 3 years of start date.
*BCLS - American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (Expiration date greater than 3 months preferred) upon hire
*RN - Registered Nurse upon hire
Skills and Abilities:
*A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
*Minimum of 1 Year experience as a clinical nurse in the Operating Room or completion of an RN residency program.
*3-5 years of experience in the OR, minimum 1 year of CV OR experience
*Ability to circulate in a variety of surgical services cases including CV and Hearts.
*40 Hours Per Week
*6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
*Weekday, Weekend and Holiday Call Required
Job Duties but not limited to :
OR Circulating – Collaborating with other members of the team (including anesthesiologist, surgeon, surgical technologist, etc) to ensure the safety of patients during the operation.
Service Line Inventory Management – Ensures all supplies and equipment are available with respect to the needs of the patient, surgeon and procedure.
Physician Engagement Liaison – Promotion of physician engagement though maintaining open lines of communication, organization of face-to-face meetings with physicians and staff as needed, communicating products and services, and activities including special projects and events as needed.
Service Line Coach and Mentor – Coaches staff to ensure delivery of safe and quality care. Develops plan of care for service based on RN assessment/re-assessment.
