Work location: Texas Health Presbyterian Allen, 1105 Central Expressway North, Allen, TX 75013.
Work environment: Pharmacy Department.
Work hours: Full Time- 32 Hours Per Week, Night Shift.
Weekends and holidays are required
Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Allen is a 73-bed, acute-care hospital serving the northern Collin County area since 2000. Hospital services include women’s care, a Level II neonatal intensive care unit, orthopedics, pediatrics, wound care, and sleep medicine. Texas Health Allen, a Pathway to Excellence® designated hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, has more than 500 physicians on its medical staff practicing in more than 25 specialties. Texas Health Allen is a World Health Organization-designated "Baby-Friendly Hospital" and was the first hospital in Texas to receive the distinction. The hospital is a Level IV trauma center and an Accredited Chest Pain Center by the Society of Chest Pain Centers, which makes our facility intensely qualified to serve our community and your professional aspirations.
Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm. D required.
CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required.
1+ years of recent Clinical Pharmacist experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Pharmacist License upon hire required.
ACPE IV Certification highly preferred.
IV compounding experience is preferred.
Must be proficient in written and verbal English language communication skills.
Must be computer proficient.
Must possess basic math skills.
Texas Health Presbyterian Allen Clinical Pharmacist are responsible for timely and accurate support of medication distribution including medication order verification and oversight of pharmacy technician responsibilities.
Communicating effectively, building positive professional relationships and role modeling teamwork.
Provision of clinical pharmacy services for the safe and efficient patient care.
Ensuring the accuracy of one's own work as well as maintaining required competencies and other documentation. Consistent support of the department's QA and PS standards programs and initiatives is also required.
Ongoing professional development and growth.
Not only the management of one's own time but shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.
Respond to medical emergencies per hospital policy as available.
Other duties as assigned.
