Texas Health Resources Facilities Maintenance Tech II in Allen, Texas

Qualifications/Duties:

Work Schedule: 40 hours/1st shift with rotating call.

This position is a skilled and certified specialist that provides skilled industrial level maintenance and technical support to the

facility and its staff. This shall include all trade specific classifications including electrician, electrician master, plumber,

master plumber, HVAC technician, electronics technician, refrigeration technician, and similar fields.

Responsibilities:

Provide routine and specialized building repair and maintenance support for hospital, hospital equipment, and hospital

properties utilizing the computerized maintenance management system. Identify and correct problems such as mechanical

systems (pumps, belt drivers, gear reduction drives, piping, valve diagnosis and replacement), plumbing systems (installing,

repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for waste water distribution and waste water disposal),

electrical systems (install, test, maintain, and diagnose electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus,

fixtures, components, and systems), and control systems (sensors, limit switches, solonoids, motors).

Provide technical support and general guidance to facility staff in the repair and operation of facility equipment, components,

utilities, and the like.

Qualifications:

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required. Specialized training in mechanic trades or a related field preferred.

Minimum Licences/Certifications Required: DL - Drivers License required upon hire and Electrician or Plumber or other (Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Certification) upon hire required.

Minimum Experience Required: 3 Years Commercial or industrial environment experience requird; 1 year of healthcare setting preferred.

Minimum Skills Required: Proficient in the use of computerized systems for all aspects of job performance; troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and utility systems; mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills; ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams; ability to work effectively unsupervised and in teams; excellent written, verbal, and listening skills; ability work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
