Application System Analyst

  • Work location: This position is remote with occasional meetings in the Arlington Corporate office. Must live in the DFW, Texas area.

  • Department: Clinical Engineering

  • Work hours: Full Time (40 Hours); Day Shift; Monday – Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm or 08:00 4:30 PM

Qualifications

Education

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required and

  • Associate’s degree in Healthcare Technology, Information management, Clinical, Business required (2 years of experience administering an enterprise-wide, multi-tier ServiceNow/CA or related system in lieu of Associate's Degree) required.

Experience:

  • 2 years of administering an enterprise-wide, multi-tier ServiceNow/CA or related system - with Associate's Degree required or,

  • 4 years administering an enterprise-wide, multi-tier ServiceNow/CA or related system - no Associate's Degree required

  • Experience working directly with customers to understand their business needs and facilitate the translation of those business needs into a set of systematic specifications for configuration in ServiceNow required and,

  • Experience with application patch and version upgrades and implementing related best practices preferred.

  • Biomed experience strongly preferred or

  • Experience with Service Now strongly preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

  • IT-ILC - IT Infrastructure Library Certification within 12 months of hire required.

Position Responsibilities: Under the direction of HTM management, this position is responsible for supporting applications and systems used by HTM employees, with emphasis on the HTM Service Management system (ServiceNow and ZingBox). Perform enterprise technology security device support and analysis.

  • Ongoing maintenance and support of CMMS applications.

  • Participation in all phases of application life cycle.

  • Build in applications to meet user requirements for new and optimized workflows in designated applications and systems.

  • Diagnosis of failures encountered in application software and related technologies.

  • Participation in the resolution of problems and issues associated with installed applications and related information technologies.

  • Change control, testing, and validating of system upgrades and enhancements.

  • Communicate with customers, project team and vendors in a timely manner, with minimal supervision, in the analysis and design of business and critical requirements for new and optimized applications and system workflows, as well as ensuring secure and stable architectures are in place.

  • Supply Chain Sub-Competency (SCM acumen, business insights, and tech savvy).

Skills:

  • Understanding of Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Event, and Configuration Management, and correlated functionality.

  • Ability to develop test plans and execute test cases with careful attention to accuracy and detail.

  • Understanding of relational database management systems, stored procedures, and queries.

  • Organization skills, ability to work under pressure, communication skills, problem resolution skills, good customer service attitude, self starting and ability to work alone.

  • Ability to travel from site to site.
