We’re looking for qualified Certified Medical Assistants like you to join our Texas Health family.
Work location: 400 West Arbrook, Suite 100 & Suite 240, Arlington, TX 76014
Work environment: Family Care
Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am - 5pm
Salary range: $15.00 - $21.47 per hour (based on relevant experience)
$8,000 sign-on bonus for eligible CMAs (eligible upon hire with a signed retention agreement)
Texas Health Physicians Group (THPG) is a not-for-profit physician organization with more than 250 locations and 800 physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants dedicated to providing quality care in clinics and medical offices throughout North Texas.
High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
Current Medical Assistant Certification (required)
No experience necessary; New Grads Welcome!
1 year Medical Assistant experience (preferred)
ACLS or BLS (preferred)
Non-Certified Radiologic Technician training (may be required)
Position Responsibilities THPG Certified Medical Assistants are responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes the safety and well-being of all patients, demonstrating excellent customer service while rooming patients, obtaining chief complaint and vitals, handling of specimens, charting visit information and performing injections as needed. You may also be responsible for some administrative tasks on an as-needed basis.
In addition to the required qualifications, a successful CMA will
have the ability to spend at least 90% of their time running the in-clinic lab
have the ability to do blood draws for all the 6 Providers in the clinic, as well as other tests (urine, A1C, etc.)
have the ability to perform EKGs and administer injections as needed
be able to effectively communicate with both staff and patients and have thorough knowledge of the meaning and use of medical terminology and abbreviations
demonstrate sound judgement in emergency situations, as well as take appropriate action in urgent circumstances
maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients
possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
have basic computer skills using Medical management application systems
