Texas Health Resources is seeking a full time Clinical Rotations Coordinator - THRU.

Position Summary:

The Clinical Rotations coordinator plays a key role in the process of connecting students to rotation experiences. In this capacity, the coordinator partners with a wide set of people to ensure clinical slots are available, that placements are

requested, that preceptors are coordinated and that student documentation from schools has been completed. This position works closely with individuals across multiple teams including contracts, onboarding, and the clinical team to ensure the right students are placed and prepared and ready for the system. Key to this position is close coordination with coordinators external to the organization from partner organizations.

  • Full Time; 1 st Shift


  • Minimum - $18.91

  • Maximum - $30.25

  • Please note salary is determine by year of experience


  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing, Business, Education, or related field preferred


  • 1-year experience in the area of education/learning assessment, design, development, implementation, and evaluation

  • Previous experience with academic institutions and clinical rotations preferred

The individual in this position will have regular interactions and communications with THR leaders, so must possess a professional presence and strong communication skills. In addition, the role partners with a broad group of employees and mid-level managers, and therefore must be highly skilled at partnering and informally influencing organizational behavior outside of traditional reporting relationships. This position frequently works on time sensitive, significant education/learning efforts.


Job Responsibilities:

Implement/Manage (Deploy)

  • Identifies number of rotation slots available for a given year by entity in partnership with clinical learning and allied health team.

  • Partners with preceptor team to identify number of potential student preceptors required and collaborates to ensure preceptor availability.

  • Requests placement for students using tools and network where tools are not available.

  • Coordinates placement with students and preceptors including tracking metrics of placement, students, schools, and schedules.

  • Verifies student documentation is completed prior to the onboarding processEvaluate & Improve (Learn)

  • Partners with measurement team to determine and report on rotation experience operational metrics.

  • Ensures evaluations are distributed and completed, including communicating feedback to Program Manager and unit/entity team.

  • Collaborates with staff and preceptors on improving faculty/student experience.

  • Coordinates preceptor rewards and recognition.

Design/Redesign (Engage/Design)

  • Serves on a team to identify key customer/stakeholder requirements for academic partnership programs, or other rotation experiences based on Voice of the Customer/Workforce/Environment for services and processes (“what’s important).

  • Reviews and adheres to outcomes for performance around key partnership strategies (“how we’re doing relative to what’s important”) and programs as well as process metrics.

  • Serves on a team to define and improve work processes. (what we’re doing to address what’s important”).

  • Participate in department planning to identify strategic initiatives and action plans.

Align (Sustain)

  • Communicate & Coordinate - Participates on a cross function team focused on improving the rotation experience.

  • Partner -Establish and maintain partnerships with entity unit leaders, preceptors, and student placement coordinators externally. Utilizes support of clinical educators and others to ensure sustainable and efficient process.

  • Integrates services and processes - Connects and navigates system as well as entity needs, and align system-entity efforts to ensure a coordinated, efficient, and effective approach to achieving strategic and operational objectives.
