Texas Health Resources Director Consumer Strategy and Market Insights-Texas Health Resources in Arlington, Texas

Texas Health Resources seeks to hire a Director Consumer Strategy and Market Insights.

The Director of Consumer Strategy & Market Insights works in collaboration with the Directors of Consumer, Market, and Operational Insights to answer some of the most challenging questions facing healthcare today. An expert in consumer strategy, this individual is unique in his/her ability to frame and navigate complex opportunity landscapes, working collaboratively with subject matter experts in Finance, Operations, Product Development and Marketing to develop durable business cases for critical business activities. The Director will develop novel insight, pushing back the boundaries of consideration, challenging traditional thinking and informing executive decision-making. This role serves as a catalyst for transformation, a thought leader and champion for the consumer.

Job Description

Leads consumer research and competitive intelligence activities

Maintains a sophisticated understanding of market dynamics, including consumer, competitive, technological, macroeconomic and political trends

Provides subject matter expertise and methodological oversight to the organization’s quantitative and qualitative research activities

Identifies and maps opportunity landscapes, detailing the operating context, relevant insights, potential value and strategic considerations that inform executive decision-making

Works collaboratively to develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to conduct analyses and solve critical business issues

Creates business cases for evaluating the commercial viability of products and services

Develops and delivers consumer insight briefs for design teams

Supports the organization’s strategic foresight and planning efforts


Bachelor's Degree Business or relevant field required

Master's Degree Business or relevant field preferred


8 years experience with and mastery of conventional and human-centered design research methods, and:

*Experience developing and analyzing consumer and market insights, and

*Experience developing business cases for commercial products and services, and

*Experience with strategic foresight, scenario planning and contingencies required

Research design and insight development (must include the full spectrum of quantitative and qualitative research methods), human centered design research expertise preferred


Advanced interpersonal and communications skills

Develop credible and pragmatic analytical approaches, frameworks and methodologies for informing executive decision-making

Analysis of complex quantitative and qualitative data, synthesizing the output into meaningful and actionable strategic insights

Business case development and validation (preferably in consumer markets)

Facilitation skills, with a mastery of the concepts and linguistics of both business and design

Entrepreneurial instincts and abilities, challenging conventional thinking and cultivating innovation in a large organizational context

Interpersonal skills and organizational savvy, navigating complex multi-stakeholder environments with confidence and grace

Builds valuable internal and external networks, collaborating in ways that surface insights and unlock value for the organization
