Electronic Document Management Analyst

We’re looking for a qualified Electronic Document Management Analyst like you to join our Texas Health family.

Work Location: Chase Building, 500 East Border Street, Arlington TX 76010

Work hours: Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Here’s What You Need

Education

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent REQUIRED and

Associate's Degree Health Information Management, Business, Health Care or a related field preferred

Experience

2 Years Healthcare experience with Electronic Medical Records or Electronic processes in a business administrative environment REQUIRED

Licenses and Certifications

RHIT - Registered Health Information Technician Upon Hire preferred

Skills

Strong Knowledge of electronic workflows in an electronical medical record or electronic processes in a business administrative environment. Knowledge of document management system and scanning functionality. Skillfully applies and analyzes information reflected on documents to determine location or inclusion in the legal health record. Advance skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel with the ability to create, edit, format and perform basic formula functions. Organizational, problem-solving and attention to detail skills required. Ability to consistently perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy rate. Effective written and verbal communication skills required.

What You Will Do:

Document Corrections:

  • Monitors and works all document correction work queues.

  • Validates reported document imaging errors, corrects errors, and reports errors within KPI goals.

  • Review and commit document images to correct patient and/or document type.

  • Investigate and determine the cause of document imaging errors. Develop recommendations based on findings

  • Monitor, review and collaborate with vendor on work queues.

Quality Reviews:

  • Conduct quality review of scanned documents received from THR entities in accordance with policies.

  • Correct and report errors identified through quality reviews

Storage & Destruction:

  • Store scanned and quality reviewed documents in accordance with retention policy and department processes.

  • Prepare documents for destruction through post-quality review in accordance with policies.
