Electronic Document Management Analyst

We’re looking for qualified Electronic Document Management Analyst like you to join our Texas Health family.

Position Highlights

  • Work location: Chase Building, 500 East Border Street, Arlington, TX 76011

  • Work environment: HIMS Records Management

  • Work hours: Full Time (40hrs/week), Tuesday – Saturday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Education

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required And

Associate's Degree HIM or related Preferred

Experience

3 Years Healthcare experience with Electronic Medical Records Required

Licenses and Certifications

RHIT - Registered Health Information Technician Upon Hire Preferred

Skills

Strong Knowledge of electronic workflows in an electronical medical record. Knowledge of document management system and scanner functionality. Skillfully applies and analyzes information reflected on documents to determine location or inclusion in the legal health record. Advance skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel with the ability to create, edit, format and perform basic formula functions. Organizational, problem-solving and attention to detail skills required. Ability to consistently perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy rate. Ability to apply, review and educate on document preparation and scanning processes. Effective written and verbal communication skills required.

Job Responsibilities

Document Corrections:

  • Monitors document correction queues. Validates the reported document imaging error, corrects error as needed, and report error within KPI goals.

  • Review and commit document image to correct patient and document type.

  • Monitor, review and collaborate with vendor on work queues.

  • Investigate and determine the cause of document imaging errors. Develop recommendations based on findings

Quality Reviews:

  • Conduct quality review of documents in accordance with policies.

  • Prepare documents for destruction through post-quality review in accordance with policies.

  • Prepares monthly report of audits results and trends errors related to document preparation, scanning, and indexing.

Training and Education :

  • Prepare training materials for internal and external users.

  • Provides training for documentation preparation, scanning, and scanner maintenance for internal and external users.

  • Re-education of staff based on audit findings

Software Support :

  • Tester for system upgrades and workflow enhancement.

  • Trouble shoot technical issues and escalate to ITS, as appropriate.

  • Partnering with leaders and ITS to identify trends and opportunities to leverage technology to enhance workflow and improving quality outcomes.
