Registered Nurse (RN) – Women’s Services, Maternal/Newborn – Central Staffing Office –

PRN for Flexibility!

Oh baby! Our Women’s Services departments are growing by leaps and bounds. We’re looking for experienced Mother/Baby, Couplet Care, Women’s Services Registered Nurses to join our Central Staffing Office team to float to at least 3 Texas Health Resources hospitals.

Position Highlights

  • Work location: The address is based out of 612 E. Lamar, Arlington, TX 76011 and will float to a minimum of 3 hospitals.

  • Work environment: Must have flexibility to float throughout the Metroplex to a minimum of three (3) or more Texas Health Resources hospitals.

  • Ability to work with Mother/Baby, couplet care, and Antepartum/High-Risk OB patients mainly; possibly some GYN and Lactation Services patients. Assist with initial breastfeeding education.

  • Work hours: PRN: On an as needed basis; 12-hour shifts, Varying shift, mainly between the hours of 6:30PM-7:15AM

*Weekday, Weekend and Holiday (1 winter holiday per year required)

*Self-scheduling

  • Salary is $41.00/hour plus differentials, 401K program, free parking

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred

  • CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)

  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire

  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support certification through the American Heart Association required upon hire

  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program required upon hire

  • IBCLC – International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant - Lactation nurses only and required prior to clinical work performed within 30 days of hire

  • AWHONN - Advanced Fetal Monitoring (EFM) OR IFM - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required within 30 days of hire if work in OB or Antepartum areas

  • Three ( 3) Years’ RN Experience with one year in the last three years as a clinical nurse in specialty area of position (Mother/Baby, Couplet Care, Women’s Services RN experience) Required

  • In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will:

  • Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

  • maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients

  • possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism

  • have basic computer skills using Medical management application systems

Position Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

• assesses the patient

• plans the care of the patient

• intervenes as appropriate

• evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
