Texas Health Resources Mental Health Tech-PRN-CSO in Arlington, Texas
Texas Health Resources Central Staffing an internal staffing agency is currently in search of Mental Health Technician. This is a PRN position, as needed with varying shifts. Must have flexibility to float throughout the Metroplex to a minimum of three (3) or more entities. At least one (1) holiday worked per year.
Qualified candidates will possess the following:
Associates Degree in health care related field required. Bachelor's Degree preferred
One year experience in mental heath or patient care technician experience required or upon hire must have a current certified nurse’s aide certification.
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support required upon Hire
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required 30 days from date of hire.
APCI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required 12 months from date of hire.
Consistently monitors patient activity and collects patient data according to unit standards. Documents data legibly, per unit standard, and relays to nurse. Communicates any changes in patient status immediately to the nurse.
Assists with and helps coordinate patient care.
Teamwork and collaboration; the ability to work effectively and productively with co-workers and other disciplines
Maintains and provides service recovery Acts as a positive representative in the workplace as well as the community.
Performs technical skills under the supervision of the RN
Demonstrates initiative for ongoing learning and professional growth
