Texas Health Resources Mental Health Technician - As Needed Rotating - Travel DFW in Arlington, Texas
Needed Rotating in the Central Staffing Office. This position requires travel to different THR entities throughout the DFW Metroplex.
The address is 612 East Lamar Blvd., Arlington, TX 76011. Work location will vary.
Salary range is $16.50 flat rate
PRN As Needed
7:00 am to 7:00 pm or 7:00 pm – 7:00 am; Weekdays, Weeknights or Weekends
Must be willing to travel to different THR entities around the DFW Metroplex
Consistently monitors patient activity and collects patient data according to unit standards. Documents data legibly, per unit standard, and relays to nurse. Communicates any changes in patient status immediately to the nurse
Assists with and helps coordinate patient care
Teamwork and collaboration; the ability to work effectively and productively with co-workers and other disciplines
Safe Patient Care
Maintains and provides service recovery
Acts as a positive representative in the workplace as well as the community
Performs technical skills under the supervision of the RN
Demonstrates initiative for ongoing learning and professional growth
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 1-year Mental Health or Patient Care Technician experience required or
High School Diploma or Equivalent with a CNA – Certified Nurse Aid Certification required or
Associates Degree in a healthcare related field required or
Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare related field preferred
1 year within the last three years (excluding residency/orientation) required
Experience as a Behavioral Health Tech, Mental Health Tech, PCT or CNA in a Behavioral Health setting highly preferred
Licenses and Certifications:
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire And
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Upon Hire And
ACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually within 6 Months Or
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 30 Days And
ACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually within12 Months
