Texas Health Resources Mental Health Technician - Full Times Days - Arligton in Arlington, Texas

Texas Health Arlington Memorial seeks to hire a Mental Health Technician to work Full Time Days in their Behavioral Health Department.

The address is 800 West Randoll Mill Road, Arlington, TX 76012.

Salary range is Minimum $14.32/hr. to Maximum $22.26/hr. – based on relevant experience

Work Schedule:

  • Full Time; 36 Hours

  • Days; 7:00 am – 7:00 pm with rotating weekends

Job Description:

  • Assists with and helps coordinate patient care

  • Teamwork and collaboration; the ability to work effectively and productively with co-workers and other disciplines

  • Safe Patient Care

  • Maintains and provides service recovery.

  • Acts as a positive representative in the workplace as well as the community

  • Performs technical skills under the supervision of the RN

  • Professional Responsibility

  • Demonstrates initiative for ongoing learning and professional growth


The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 1 year experience or

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with a CNA – Certified Nurse Aid Certification or

  • Associates Degree in a healthcare related field

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare related field preferred

  • Previous MHT experience in a behavioral health inpatient/acute care setting preferred

Licenses and Certifications:

  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire And

  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Upon Hire And

  • ACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually within 6 Months Or

  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 30 Days And

  • ACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually within12 Months
