Texas Health Resources Paramedic - Central Staffing Office - Seasonal PRN - $45/hr - Eligible to New Hires Only in Arlington, Texas

Position Highlights

  • Work location: Float throughout DFW Metroplex to a minimum of three (3) Texas Health entity hospitals.

  • Work environment: Various Paramedic departments across the Texas Health System

  • Work hours: Must commit to work at least 72/hrs per pay period

  • Salary range: Flat rate of $45.00/hour + various shift diffs

  • This is a 12 week assignment.

  • Eligible New Hires Only

Qualifications

Education H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required

Experience 1 Year experience within the last three years (excluding residency/orientation) Required

Acute care experience Preferred

Licensure

  • EMT-P - Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic Upon Hire Req And

  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req And

  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req And

  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 60 days of hire And

  • ACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training if working in ER 90 Days Req

Expectations :

  • PROVIDING INTERVENTIONS:Performs technical skills that are adapted to reflect the age-specific, developmental and diversity needs of the patient.

  • ACCOUNTABILITY: Enhances patient care skills. Serves as a patient advocate. Provides for patient privacy and dignity. Communicates per department expectations. Demonstrates cooperative relationships by showing willingness to support team members. Acceptable use of interpersonal relationship skills with patients, families, co- workers, physicians, all disciplines, and other customers.

  • SAFETY/INFECTION CONTROL: Incorporates age specific safety/ infection control measures into patient care.

  • ASSESSMENT: Collects data relevant to the patient’s physical, psychosocial, cognitive and religious needs.

  • KPI: Assists in meeting departmental/hospital KPI’s related to: Patient outcomes, Customer satisfaction, Financial performance, Organizational effectiveness and Community health care
