Labor & Delivery RN/Registered Nurse PRN

Our Women’s Services departments are growing by leaps and bounds and we need your help.
We’re looking for experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurses to join our dynamic group of individuals that float to at least 3 Texas Health Resources hospitals. Join our team and you will play a unique and important role centered in closing the gaps and stepping in when most needed- while providing excellent care to the people in the community in which you serve.
Work location: The address is based out of 612 E. Lamar, Arlington, TX 76011 and will float to a minimum of 3 hospitals.
Work environment: Must have flexibility to float throughout the Metroplex to a minimum of three (3) or more Texas Health Resources hospitals.
Ability to triage, labor, deliver, circulate, and recover patients in both LDR and LDRP settings. Assist with initial breastfeeding education.
Work hours: PRN: On an as needed basis; 12-hour shifts, Varying shift, there are day shifts available but the majority of shifts are between the hours of 6:30PM-7:15AM
Weekday, Weekend and Holiday (1 winter holiday per year required)

Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred
Three (3) Years’ RN Experience with one year in the last three years as a clinical nurse in specialty area of position (Labor & Delivery RN experience) Required
CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support certification through the American Heart Association required upon hire
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program required upon hire
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required upon hire
AWHONN - Advanced Fetal Monitoring (EFM) OR IFM - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required upon hire
In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will:
Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients
possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
have basic computer skills using Medical management application systems
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• assesses the patient
• plans the care of the patient
• intervenes as appropriate
• evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
