Texas Health Resources RN/Registered Nurse, Neonatal ICU, Part-time, Central Staffing Office, Nights in Arlington, Texas

Texas Health Resources Central Staffing-an internal staffing agency-is currently in search of an experienced Neonatal ICU/NICU Registered Nurse. This part-time position will work varying schedule. Must have flexibility to float throughout the Metroplex to a minimum of three (3) or more Texas Health Resources hospitals. At least one (1) holiday worked per year.

The address is based out of 612 E. Lamar, Arlington, TX 76011 and will float to a minimum of 3 hospitals.

Salary is $45/hour plus differentials

Work Schedule

• Part-time: 24 hours/week, (2) 12-hour shifts – variable/rotating schedule

• Varying schedule, mainly between 6:30PM-7:15AM

• Weekday, Weekend and Holiday (1 holiday per year required)

• Self-scheduling

Under the direction of the health care provider, the Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes the safety and well-being of all patients.

Ability to work with critically ill newborns from 23-week gestation on up. Assist with initial breastfeeding education. Experience with the following equipment: Bubble CPAP, conventional ventilators, jets and oscillators. Experience with micro-preemies, preemies, multiples, as well as feeders & growers. Ability to work in a Level II, Level III and Level IV Neonatal ICU.


The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing (A.D.N.) is required.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred. Completion of BSN within two years of earliest start date in a Texas Health RN role is required.

• Three (3) Years’ Experience with one year in the last three years as a clinical nurse in specialty area of position (Neonatal ICU/NICU Level III RN experience) Required

• Hold a current license to practice in the state of Texas as a Registered Nurse (RN); Single State or Compact State

• American Heart Association BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire certification required upon hire.

• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification required upon hire.


As primary care giver, candidates for this position will have the opportunity to stay actively involved in the total care plan through patient and family education. Responsibilities will include patient assessment, creating and maintaining a sterile and safe environment to include service as patient advocate. Initiate action to protect patient rights and/or preferences; adhere to HIPAA, Safety and Infection Control guidelines. Candidates will be expected to maintain and enhance nursing skills. Basic computer knowledge, excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
