Texas Health Resources Sr. Learning Leader in Arlington, Texas

Texas Health Resources seeks to hire a Sr. Learning Leader to work full time in their THRU Alignment Services Department.

The address is 612 East Lamar Blvd., Arlington, TX 76011.

Salary range is Minimum $43.36/hr. to Maximum $68.43/hr. – based on relevant experience

Work Schedule:

  • Full Time; 1 st Shift

  • Will require travel around the DFW Metroplex 1-2 days per week

Job Description:

The Senior Learning Leader acts as a strategic partner and support business needs by providing a broader range of consulting services to leaders on multiple talent development, learning, and change initiatives. The Senior Learning Leader helps guide and provide direction for internal Texas Health Resources University (THRU) operations across all service lines.

Essential Functions:

Learning and Talent Development

  • Develops leaders and teams to identify innovative solutions. Uses systems thinking to develop solutions to complex business challenges.

  • Develops leaders, team members and other employees throughout the organization in problem solving skills, interpersonal capabilities, and change management strategies. Identifies skills gaps and develops appropriate training plans to fill these gaps.

Coaching and Leadership Development

  • With project sponsor, leads change activities by coaching leaders during strategic planning, large scale implementations, and organizational/cultural change.

  • Provides expertise and coaching support to leaders as they develop and implement their own development plans to the regional leadership to ensure strong succession planning activities.


  • Partners with Executive Team members to develop functional learning strategies.

  • Guides the work of internal THRU team members to support strategic and functional plans.

  • Leads THRU projects


  • Utilizes learning, development, and change initiative tools and techniques that will ensure implementation of large initiatives.

Other duties as assigned


The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human resources management, organizational development, applied behavioral sciences, business administration or related field required

  • Master’s Degree in Human resources management, organizational development, applied behavioral sciences, business administration or related field preferred

  • 7 years’ experience in healthcare consulting or management consulting environment required

  • 5 years’ experience coaching and consulting to Executive Leaders required

  • 4 years’ experience in complex, multi-site organization preferred

Licenses and Certifications:

  • KFALP and VOICES Certified upon hire preferred

Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning styles, participative training design, group dynamics, interactive learning methods, systems theory and quality improvement processes, principles of customer service, advanced consulting methods, leadership coaching, conflict resolution, group process facilitation, organization communications processes, presentation skills and project management.

  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and e-learning authoring software.

  • Proficient in the use of learning and succession LMS module environments.
