Texas Health Resources Certified Surgical Tech in Azle, Texas


Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Azle is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech in the Surgery department for full time employment.

40 hours per week

5- 8 hr shifts per week

Call required, holiday and weekend rotation

Minimum Education Required:

Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program, Vocational Nurse Program or graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology

Minimum Experience Requirements:

1Year current CST experience within a hospital operating room or surgical center preferred.

*orthopedics, general, podiatry, endoscopy, and pain case experience preferred

Minimum Licensure/Certification:

CST - Certified Surgical Technologist graduate of an accredited surgical tech program Upon Hire


CST - Certified Surgical Technologist graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology within 2 Years


LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse Upon Hire


BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support

Minimum Skill Requirements:

A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment; knowledge of surgical technology.

In collaboration with the RN, assists with the nursing process which includes assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of all patients, including:

-Provides care according to standards of care

-Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to improve care processes that promote continuity of care.

-Performs technical procedures safely, proficiently, and within scope of practice.

-Documents accurately, completely and legibly.

-Takes action to reduce/eliminate patient risks.

-Adapts care measures to reflect age specific and developmental considerations.

-Recognizes and communicates ethical and legal concerns through established channels of communication.

-Perform other duties assigned.
