Texas Health Azle’s Radiology CT Scan department is looking for a top skilled CT Technologist. Is that you?

Work hours: Part Time (24 Hour) Night Shift

Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Azle is a community-based hospital serving the suburban areas of Azle, Lake Worth, Springtown and the surrounding areas. Located about 20 miles northwest of downtown Fort Worth, Texas Health Azle provides numerous services, including emergency medicine, surgical care, cardiology, radiology, rehabilitation services and an adult intensive care unit. Texas Health Azle is a Level IV trauma center, accredited in Chest Pain Management with distinction by the Joint Commission, and a 2013 National 100 Top Hospital by Truven Health Analytics, which makes our facility intensely qualified to serve our community and your professional aspirations.

Here’s What You Need

Education

  • Other Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology required Or

  • Associate's Degree preferred

Experience

  • 1 year radiologic technician experience w/out ARRT-CT required or

  • no experience w/ARRT-CT required

  • If no ARRT-CT, training in CT or CT experience is preferred

Licenses and Certifications

  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R upon hire required And

  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists CT (w/no radiology technician exp) upon hire required Or

  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists CT (w/1 year radiology technician exp) 12 months required And

  • CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (Either by the TDH or TMB) upon hire required And

  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

What You Will Do

Imaging Procedures, Quality and Processing

  • Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam

  • Positions patient to correct anatomical area of interest

  • Performs complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations

  • Adjusts technique parameters appropriately for age related factors

  • Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique

Patient Care

  • Uses multidisciplinary, team oriented actions

  • Assesses and recognizes the patient's emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and psychosocial conditions

  • Prepares room for examination (i.e. suction, oxygen, supplies)

  • Checks physician orders and exam requisitions using time-out procedures

  • Greets and acknowledges patient, using two forms of ID

Equipment Operation and Maintenance

  • Adjusts technical factors

  • Operates, cares for and maintains equipment

  • Applies knowledge of physics and accessories

  • Troubleshoots and properly documents equipment malfunction

  • Maintains equipment and room to sanitary standards between patients (injectors, table tops, floors)

Professional Accountability and Partnership

  • Maintains and enhances technical skills and technology advancement

  • Attends departmental continuing education, meetings, and checks email in a timely manner

  • Identifies, troubleshoots and initiates quality improvement

  • Manages time and re-prioritizes as necessary

  • Performs any assignment deemed necessary by supervisor
