We’re looking for qualified R egistered Nurse like you to join our department in a Charge Nurse role

Position Highlights

  • Work location: Texas Health Azle -108 Denver Trail Azle TX 76020

  • Work environment: Medical Surgical Unit

  • Work hours: PRN Nights 7p-7a- As Needed– Rotating Weekends/Holidays

Texas Health Azle is 36 bed small community hospital that provides exceptional care to Suburban areas of Azle, Lake Worth, Springtown and surrounding areas. Texas Health Azle is a Joint Commission – Certified Level III Stroke Center a Level IV Trauma Center and accredited Chest Pain Management facility.   • Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred

  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire required

  • BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

  • ACLS within 90 days required.

  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 60 days of hire

  • 1-year experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting required

  • 2-years experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting preferred

In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will

  • demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

  • maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients

  • possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism

  • have basic computer skills using Medical management application systems

Position Responsibilities

The Charge Nurse

• will communicate and collaborate with all members of the health care team

• support and actively participate in shared governance/councils

• committed to developing their individual knowledge and skills, as well as advancing the profession of nursing and engaging in lifelong learning/development.

• evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

• directly assists leadership on a particular unit or units and shift, by offering staff guidance and support, maintaining a clean and safe work environment and ensuring unit operational tasks are completed. Individuals in this role will demonstrate:
