Appointment Scheduling Specialist – Heart & Vascular Specialists

Fast-paced, high-volume clinic is looking for top skilled Appointment Scheduling Specialist

Work location: 8440 Walnut Hill Lane, Suite 400, Dallas, TX 75231

Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Here’s What You Need

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

  • Minimum of 6 months healthcare experience in a clinical setting (strongly preferred)

  • Fast-paced medical environment (strongly preferred)

  • Experience working with authorizations / referrals / orders from other providers (strongly preferred)

  • Bilingual in Vietnamese / English (strongly preferred)

  • Experience and attention to detail when scheduling more than one location and/or for different types of procedures (strongly preferred)

  • Requires good strong work ethics/good communication / and customer service skills

  • A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

What You Will Do

  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Appointment Scheduling Specialist Process

  • Responsible for answering phone calls and scheduling patient appointments

  • Conduct patient pre-certification / to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care

  • Schedule tests, procedures, and referral appointments

  • May collect fees such as co-pays / co-insurance

  • Gathers insurance information and patient personal data

  • Obtain authorizations / referrals prior to appointments as needed

  • Demonstrates positive professional customer service with all patients, staff, and visitor contacts.

  • Performs other duties as assigned
