Texas Health Resources Financial Analyst in Dallas, Texas

Qualifications/Duties:

Texas Health Organization for Physicians (THOP) is seeking a Financial Analyst position.

Job Location: Dallas, TX

Required minimum education:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

Required minimum experience:

2 Years Healthcare Experience

Skills and Abilities:

Must have strong PC literacy including Microsoft Word and Excel applications. Microsoft Access experience preferred, but not required. Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of management and line employees;

ability to develop and maintain networking relationships as needed to provide excellent and timely customer service.

Essential Functions:

  • Monthly variance analysis of financial statements (income statement and balance sheet) – this includes variance analysis to forecast and budget, as well as periodic reviews with THOP, and THPG operations on budget shortfalls and planning for future initiatives to overcome shortfalls. The position will also have the responsibility for communication of financial results to senior management for the clinics that THPG supports.

  • Assist in monthly financial close process including working with accounting department to ensure accuracy and timely completion of the monthly financial statements and analyzing physician accrual rates.

  • Assist in completion of annual budget process as well as future year forecasts.

  • Review and complete analysis pertaining to individual practices. i.e. proformas.
