Floor Tech – Evening Shift – Dallas

  • Work environment: Environmental Services

  • Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Evening Shift; including rotating weekends and holidays

  • Salary range: $15.00 - $20.41 per hour (based on relevant experience)

Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Preferred

  • 1 Year relevant experience with floor cleaning equipment in an instutional setting Preferred

Skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Capable of working independently, setting priorities, and being flexible in assignments.

  • Able to work around housekeeping chemicals.

  • Full range of motion and ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Operates floor maintenance equipment, including but not limited to, floor polish/burnisher, high speed buffers, riding scrubbers or carpet cleaners/extractors to maintain floors and provide a clean, aesthetically pleasing environment.

  • Maintains equipment in good working order. Cleans and stores equipment properly after each use. Reports equipment that is in need of repair or broken immediately to supervisor.

  • Follows safety and infection control practices when: handling and disposing of regular and medical waste; practicing hand hygiene techniques; using standard isolation precautions.

  • Safely uses the proper equipment for each assignment. Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies, according to procedure.

  • Other duties as assigned including but not limited to wall washing, cubical curtain changing, vent and light cleaning, furniture moves and set ups, collection and transportation of trash.
