Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Emergency Department

Fast-paced, high volume Emergency Department is looking for top skilled nurses.

Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, TX 75231

Work hours: Full Time 36 Hours, Variable Mid/Evenings; Rotating Weekends and Holiday’s Required

  • Fast-Paced, high-volume department averaging 200 patients/day

  • The professional nurse exhibits understanding of basic human needs

Here’s What You Need

  • Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program required

  • ED experience in a hospital setting a plus

  • LVN – Licensed Vocational Nurse upon hire required and

  • BCLS – Basic Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with team to facilitate hourly rounding and initiate action to meet patient needs

  • Use nursing model to obtain adequate data to initiate, implement, and revise plane of care

  • Serves as patient advocate

  • Participate in formal and informal teaching and evaluation to strengthen clinical competence

  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care

  • Safely administers medication in accordance with medication administration guidelines
