Full Time Maintenance Specialist I – Full Time

We’re looking for qualified Maintenance Specialist to join our Texas Health family. Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231

Work hours: Full Time Evenings: 40 Hours per week

Here’s What You Need

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Individuals hired into the position prior to January 1, 2003, will be grandfathered with existing education. Required

  • 3 Years experience in a commercial or industrial environment Required

  • 1 Year experience in a healthcare environment Preferred

  • DL - Driver’s License Upon Hire Required

  • Other Healthcare maintenance certification Upon Hire Preferred

  • Proficient in the use of computerized systems for all aspects of job performance; troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and utility systems; mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills; ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams; ability to work effectively unsupervised and in teams; excellent written, verbal, and listening skills; ability work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

What You Will Do

  • Provide routine and specialized building repair and maintenance support for hospital, hospital equipment, and hospital properties utilizing the computerized maintenance management system. Performs the duties of skill trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, general maintenance, mechanical, HVAC, and exterior maintenance as required.

  • Provide technical support and general guidance to facility staff in the repair and operation of facility equipment, components, utilities, and the like.

  • Participate in hospital and departmental safety programs, education opportunities, and related training.
