Maintenance Specialist II

Fast-paced, high volume system engineering department is looking for top skilled maintenance specialist. Is that you?

Position Highlights

  • Work location: 8204 Walnut Hill Lane Dallas, TX 75231

  • Work environment: System Engineering

  • Work hours: Full Time – 40 Hours, Rotating Shifts – will need to have flexibility to work day, evening or night shift as needed.

Qualifications

Education

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required

Experience

  • 3 Years experience in a commercial or industrial environment Required

  • Hospital Maintenance experience preferred

Licenses and Certifications

  • DL – Drivers License Upon Hire Required And

  • Other Healthcare maintenance certification Upon Hire Preferred

Skills

  • Ability Proficient in the use of computerized systems for all aspects of job performance.

  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and utility systems

  • Mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills

  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams

  • Ability to work effectively unsupervised and in teams

  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills

  • Ability work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

  • Knowledge of Windows/PC helpful.

Position Responsibilities

  • Provide routine and specialized building repair and maintenance support for hospital, hospital equipment, and hospital properties utilizing the computerized maintenance management system.

  • Performs the duties of skill trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, general maintenance, mechanical, HVAC, and exterior maintenance as required.

  • Provide technical support and general guidance to facility staff in the repair and operation of facility equipment, components, utilities, and the like.

  • Participate in hospital and departmental safety programs, education opportunities, and related training.

Education

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Specialized training in mechanic trades or a related field preferred Individuals hired into the position prior to January 1, 2003 will be grandfathered with existing education. Req

Experience

3 Years in commercial or industrial environment and licensed as electrician, plumber or industrial maintenance mechanic certification Req or

7 Years in commercial or industrial environment without licensed electrician, plumber or industrial maintenance mechanic certification Req

1 Year healthcare environment Pref

Licenses and Certifications

Plumber Upon Hire Pref Or

Other Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Certification Upon Hire Pref
