Plant Mechanic – Mid-Shift – Dallas

  • Work environment: Facilities

  • Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, 12-8pm Tuesday-Saturday

  • Salary range: $22.02 to max $35.11 based on relevant experience

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required And Specialized training in the mechanic trades or a related field desired Preferred

  • 3 Years Experience in the maintenance and repair of physical plant equipment and utilities systems Required

  • Healthcare environment Preferred

  • DL - Drivers License Valid Class C Driver's License Upon Hire Required

  • Other Plant-related certification desirable Upon Hire Preferred

  • Must have good written and verbal skills to read blue prints, work orders and interact with staff, tenants, contractors and others. Able to use hand tools, electrical tools and others with little supervision.

  • Requires the ability to travel, climb stairs and ladders to access equipment; pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, stooping and standing in difficult positions in crowded quarters to make inspections and observe equipment, displays and dials.


  • Maintain the efficient operation of the central plant:

  • Identify equipment operational and maintenance needs

  • Implement preventive maintenance program for plant equipment, machinery and related facilities

  • Record mechanical equipment readings and ensure accuracy of records kept

  • Maintain plant safety features

  • Perform routine mechanical, electrical, or machining maintenance activities on equipment including lubrication, inspection, replacement of parts, and related plant work activities.

  • Utilize the CMMS to keep accurate computerized records of activities, time, and materials required; keeps accurate reports of equipment maintenance and performance.

  • Participate in hospital and departmental safety program, educational opportunities, and job specific training.
