Registered Echo Sonographer – 8K Sign On - Heart & Vascular Specialists – Dallas

We’re looking for a qualified Registered Echo Sonographer like you to join our Texas Health Heart and Vascular Specialists of North Texas.

Position Highlights

  • Work location: 8230 Walnut Hill Lane, Suite 220, Dallas, TX 75231 & 874 Ed Hall Drive, Suite 116, Kaufman, TX 75142

  • Work environment: Heart & Vascular Specialists

  • Work hours: Full-time, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

  • 40% Travel 2 days weekly to Kaufman location

  • Salary range: $33.49 - $47.01 per hour (based on relevant experience)

  • $8,000 sign-on bonus for eligible Registered Echo Sonographer (eligible upon hire with a signed retention agreement)

Texas Health Physicians Group (THPG) is a not-for-profit physician organization with more than 250 locations and 800 physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants dedicated to providing quality care in clinics and medical offices throughout North Texas.


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)

  • Associates Degree Related field (preferred)

  • ARDMS - American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers or RDCS Upon Hire (required) OR

  • RCS - Registered Cardiac Sonographer Upon Hire (required)

Position Responsibilities THPG Registered Echo Sonographer will produce two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings and Doppler flow analyses of heart and related structures, using ultrasound equipment, for use by physician in diagnosis of heart disease and study of heart. Calibrates and maintains equipment and orders supplies when needed. Calculates, measures, and documents appropriate values on the tests performed for review and interpretation by physicians. Explains procedures to patient to obtain cooperation and reduce anxieties of patient. May perform therapeutic procedures. Enters patient information into computer database to record information on video cassette and strip printout of test. Reviews test results with interpreting physician. Communicates with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical conditions while undergoing echocardiogram. Performs other duties as assigned.

In addition to the required qualifications, a successful Registered Echo Sonographer will

  • possess an excellent working knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary anatomy/pathology, the cardiac patient, and treatment of cardiac diseases

  • excellent communication skills

  • good computer skills

  • possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
