SHIFT/SCHEDULE: Full time, 36 hours/week. 7p-7a every other weekend, two major, two minor holidays

The PCCU Surgical Telemetry Unit is searching for a Registered Nurse who maintains a high degree of confidentiality possesses positive interpersonal skills and is customer service focused.

The PCCU Surgical Telemetry Unit is a 35 bed unit in the new Hamon Tower. We specialize in the care of cardiovascular surgical patients, thoracic surgical patients, vascular surgical patients, cath lab patients, heart failure patients, pace makers, and all cardiac conditions. This unit is a high acuity telemetry unit that signifies a reduced nurse to patient ratio.

Qualifications are as follows:


*Associate's Degree in Nursing is required (RNs hired after January 2017 require completion of BSN within 2 years of start date. RNs hired between January 2014-December 2016 required completion of BSN within 3 years of THR RN start date as defined in offer letter.)

*BSN preferred


*RN-Registered Nurse is required

*BCLS-Basic Cardiac Life Support is required (expiration date greater than 3 months preferred)

*CPI-Crisis Prevention Intervention training within 60 days of hire is required

*BCMSN-Board Certified Medical-Surgical Nurse is preferred

*CRRN-Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse is preferred

*PCCN-Progressive Care Nurse Certified is preferred



*One (1) year of experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program is required

*One (1) year of progressive cardiac care is preferred

*Three (3) years medical/surgical experience or 1 year telemetry experience preferred
