Billing Specialist I – Orthopedic Surgery Specialists - GREAT BENEFITS!

Position Highlights

  • Work location: 2900 N. Interstate 35, Medical Building 1, Suite 200, Denton, TX 76201

  • Work environment: Orthopedic Surgery Specialists

  • Work hours: Full-time, 40 Hours Weekly

  • Salary range: $13.00 - $19.30 per hour (based on relevant experience)

Texas Health Physicians Group (THPG) is a not-for-profit physician organization with more than 250 locations and 800 physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants dedicated to providing quality care in clinics and medical offices throughout North Texas.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

  • Healthcare experience (preferred)

  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)

Position Responsibilities THPG Billing Specialist I is responsible for coordinating copies of medical documentation with physician charges to support billing to third-party payers, files and enters billing for patients into system and analyzes patient accounts to ensure billing is accurate, resolves routine patient billing inquiries and problems, handles follow-up questions from patients, resolves discrepancies or errors, reviews medical coding as necessary and enters patient charges into billing applications, and performs other duties as assigned.

In addition to the required qualifications, a successful Billing Specialist I will

  • Be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills

  • Demonstrate effective customer service and communication skills

  • Be proficient computer skills

  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
