Position Highlights

  • Work location: Texas Health Denton

  • Work Environment: PACU Main

  • Work hours: Full Time (36/hr/wk) working 3- 12’s Days with a rotating off day with call required

  • Salary range: $27.50- $52.88 (based on relevant experience)

Our tight-knit Surgical Services Team cares for our patients in our OR which includes 8 Surgery suites and 3 Endo suites. Our cases include General, Ortho, GYN, Urology, Bariatric, Vascular, Plastics, GI, and Oral surgeries.

We have been named a member of the MBSAQIP, Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program, by the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and the American College of Surgeons.

Texas Health Denton is a Joint Commission-accredited Primary Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center and a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence. and a Pathways to Excellence-designated hospital. We are the only choice in Denton for oncology services, women and infants’ services, and much more. Lastly, Texas Health Denton’s new Center for Women is under construction. This new building will bring the latest in obstetric care to North Texas as well as a new breast imaging center, outpatient physical therapy, cardiac rehabilitation and a 10-bed expansion to our emergency department.

Education

Associate's Degree Nursing Required

Bachelor's Degree Nursing Preferred

Experience

1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program Required

Recent Critical Care Experince Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required

And

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required

And

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support if working in inpatient recovery with in 90 Days Required

And

PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support if working in inpatient recovery with in 90 Days Required

Skills

A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
