Registered Vascular Technician- (Sign on Bonus $5k for Eligible New Hires)

Position Highlights

  • Work location: Texas Health Heart & Vascular Specialists 2505 Scripture St, Ste 100 2505 Scripture St, Ste 100 Denton, TX 76201

  • Work environment: Technician

  • Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, (Monday-Thursday) 8:00 AM-5:00 PM; (Friday) 7:30 AM-4:30 PM

  • Salary range: $29.59- $45.80 per hour (based on relevant experience)

  • We are currently offering $5k sign on bonus for Eligible New Hires!

Texas Health Physicians Group (THPG) is a not-for-profit physician organization with more than 250 locations and 800 physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants dedicated to providing quality care in clinics and medical offices throughout North Texas.


  • Associate's Degree in related field preferred.

  • Graduate of accredited ultrasound technology program preferred.

  • One year related experience in a Vascular Laboratory required.

  • RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist upon hire required or

  • Registered Vascular Sonographer upon hire required.

Position Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic carotid arterials and venous studies of upper and lower extremities and venous studies of patients with suspected peripheral vascular disease by following ICAVL guidelines.

  • Prepare and maintains operations logs and calibrates and maintains equipment, and order supplies when necessary.

  • Explains procedures to patient to obtain cooperation and reduce anxieties of patient. Communicates with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patients’ clinical conditions while undergoing vascular procedure.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Conducts vascular laboratory studies in accordance with the vascular laboratory protocols. Ensures that all vascular laboratory studies are scheduled in an appropriate manner to satisfy the clinical situation. Maintains the vascular laboratory quality assurance database.

  • Reviews test results with interpreting physician.
