  • Work hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.

This position will be dedicated to the THR joint venture, Southwestern Health Resources (SWHR). At Southwestern Health Resources, we believe that without a new approach, the healthcare system will become increasingly costly, confusing, and cumbersome. SWHR is seeking a seasoned and strategic Human Resources Consultant to join our growing Human Resources team. The HR Consultant is responsible for aligning SWHR business objectives with HR practices. This role provides senior level consultation and coaching to leaders in support of the organization's purpose, promise and principles.

The role is both a strategic and tactical with a focus on organizational effectiveness, engagement, inclusion, change management, process improvement, risk management and HR service excellence. This position manages complex projects, using data to identify and insights to drive action.

This role will foster partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added consultation and service with a customer-service approach that builds credibility and trust with all stakeholders. Finally, this position will provide analysis on people strategies and programs, drawing actionable solutions, identifying areas of improvement, and drawing detailed recommendations which will lead to overall increased business performance.

Essential Functions

  • Drive HR solutions that enhance culture and engagement in alignment with the organization’s purpose, promise and principles.

  • Drive talent strategies that enables identification, development, and movement of talent to support change and growth of the organization.

  • Drive HR programmatic consultation and thought partnership at all levels of the organization.

  • Provide guidance and input on organizational design, workforce planning, change management, process improvement and succession planning.

  • Consult with leaders regarding talent analytics, recruitment and retention of top talent, performance cycle, change management, process improvement and decision making.

  • In partnership with leaders, drive action planning to improve culture and employee engagement.

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, partnering as needed with the Employee Relations team.

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements and proactively identify business risks and ensure regulatory compliance; partners with the legal department as needed

  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR COE partners to develop solutions, programs, and policies.

  • Provide performance management guidance to leaders (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, corrective action).

  • Support leaders and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity.

  • Provide expert HR policy guidance and interpretation.

Required Education/Certifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources Management, Psychology, or relevant field.

  • 5+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner, Management Consulting in an HR practice or equivalent role.

Preferred Education/Certifications/Experience:

  • HR experience in healthcare, preferably in managed care/payor organizations and/or provider groups.

  • 8+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner, Management Consulting in an HR practice or equivalent role.

  • Experience helping early stage and/or high-growth, matrixed organizations.

  • Master's Degree in MBA, Human Resource Management, Psychology, or relevant field.

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM CP, SHRM BP - Senior Professional or other relevant certification in Human Resources

Skills :

  • Practical working knowledge of federal and state employment law

  • Demonstrated project management and change management skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Demonstrated experience learning and thriving in a constantly changing, complex and fast-paced environment

  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with an emphasis on Power Point and Excel

  • Passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement and employee engagement

  • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment and navigate the grey

  • Ability to think big but also not be afraid to "roll up your sleeves".

  • Excellent organizational, influencing and interpersonal skills
