Texas Health Resources Cardiac Rehab - RN PRN III in Fort Worth, Texas

Qualifications/Duties:

Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Alliance is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to assist with PRN coverage as needed for our Cardiac Rehab Department.

Schedule:

Department is open Monday through Friday, 7am - 3pm.

Education and Experience:

Associates Degree in Nursing Required, Bachelors preferred. 1 year experience as a clinical nurse.

Experience in cardiac rehab or Cardiac ICU preferred*

Texas RN license, BCLS required upon hire, ACLS required within 3 months of hire.

Duties and Responsibilities:

PRN coverage for outpatient cardiac rehab program.

Demonstrates ability to perform initial treatment assessments which includes EKG, telemetry monitoring, medication review, co-morbidity management and patient education. Knowledge of cardiac procedures, precautions and contraindications to exercises.

Demonstrates ability to lead patient education regarding disease management including but not limited to: diabetes, high cholesterol, hypertension, clinical obesity. Demonstrates ability to progress exercise treatment plan within AACVPR guidelines and American Heart Association protocols.

Collaborates with Physicians and interdisciplinary team members to promote safe individualized care.
