  • Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Night shift

  • Salary range: $53.50 - $79.75 per hour (based on relevant experience)

Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth is a 726-bed, Magnet-designated regional referral center that has served the residents of Tarrant County and surroundings communities since 1930. Hospital services include cardiovascular care, high-risk obstetrics, gynecology, orthopedics and sports medicine, neonatal intensive care, and trauma/emergency medicine. In early 2014, Texas Health Fort Worth will be opened a new 75,000 square foot Emergency Services Center, one of the largest in the region. Texas Health Fort Worth has more than 4,000 employees, 200 volunteers and nearly 1,000 physicians on its medical staff. Texas Health Fort Worth recently received national recognition for its oncology program and was named “Best Place to Have a Baby” in Tarrant County.   • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (required) or

  • Other Pharm. D completion (required) and

  • CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)

  • PHAR- Pharmacist (required)

  • 3 years hospital experience or residency (preferred)

  • Completion of a PGY1 residency, preferably with experience rounding in teaching rounds in an acute care hospital of similar size/acuity as THFW (300+ beds, Level I or Level II Trauma center)

  • IV Certification (*highly preferred)

Position Responsibilities A Clinical Pharmacist with Texas Health will ensure accuracy of one's own work as well as the maintenance of required competencies, and other documentation. Must also reflect consistently departmental QI and PS standards, programs and initiatives.

In addition to the required qualifications, a successful Clinical Pharmacist will

  • communicate effectively, building positive professional relationships and role modeling teamwork.

  • Provide timely and accurate support of medication distribution including medication order verification and oversight of pharmacy technician responsibilities.

  • provision of clinical pharmacy services for the safe and efficient patient care.

  • not only manage one's own time but shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.

  • complete other duties as assigned.
