Pharmacy Tech II, Medical Support Pharmacy

Fast-paced, high volume department is looking for top skilled Tech. Is that you?

Work location: 1100 Bridgewood St., Fort Worth, TX 76112

Work hours: Full-time, Days. Shifts are 0600-1430, 0700-1530, 0800-1630 with rotating weekends and holidays.

Department highlights:

  • Work in a closed-door pharmacy compounding sterile products, filling home infusion orders and providing support for general pharmacy operations.

  • Work with a team of highly skilled pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in a fast-paced environment to improve patient care across our communities.

Here’s What You Need

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience

6 months of experience as a pharmacy tech is required

Licenses and Certifications

RPhT- Registered Pharmacy Tech is required upon hire

IV Certification is required upon hire

Skills

Proficiency in written and verbal English language, computer and basic math.

What You Will Do

Tasks specific to Tech II:

Functionality requiring additional competency above Tech 1

Autonomous responsibility either with record keeping or as a single point of contact outside the department.

Advanced technology expertise and ownership

Delegated functions of pharmacy leadership (manager or lead technicians)

Timely and accurate preparation, delivery & storage of medications, including (when appropriate) the use of technology to do so.

Ensuring accuracy of one's own work as well as the maintenance of required competencies, and other documentation. Must reflect consistently departmental quality improvement and patient safety standards, programs, and initiatives.
