Patient Care Tech (PCT) – Southwest Fort Worth – Full-Time Day Shift –Neuro Intermediate Care

Work location: Texas Health Southwest, 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132
Work environment: Neuro Intermediate Care
Work hours: Full-Time 36 hours per week, 7:00A-7:00P with rotating weekends and holidays.
$8000 Sign On Bonus - External Candidates Only
Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth is a 222-bed full-service facility that includes surgical and imaging services, a 24-hour emergency department, orthopedics and sports therapy, adult critical care, and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. Texas Health Southwest Fort Worth, which has been serving Tarrant County residents since 1987, has 1,100 employees, 120 volunteers, and more than 600 physicians on its medical staff. The hospital is Magnet-designated, a designated UnitedHealth Premium Surgical Spine specialty center and has earned Quality Respiratory Care Recognition from the AARC.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
Current Certified Nurse Aide license (required) or
RN nursing student who has completed fundamentals or
Military experience with medical training equivalent
BLS (required)
Responsibilities Texas Health Resources Patient Care Technicians are responsible for providing assistance to patients according to plan of care, collecting patient data, identifying and reporting significant findings to nurse, the delivery of patient care that promotes the safety and well-being of all patients, demonstrating excellent customer service while admitting, transferring or discharging as needed. You may also be responsible for some administrative tasks on an as-needed basis.
In addition to the required qualifications, a successful PCT will
provide and revise patient activities of daily living based on patient/family preferences
enter orders into computer or manual systems
document accurately and appropriately
keep patient environment clean and maintains safe environment
use Professional Practice Model philosophy to work in partnership with patients, families, physicians, peers and all other disciplines
demonstrate adaptability and flexibility to changes in schedule and/or workload assignment necessary to meet changing needs of the individual patient or unit.
