Position Highlights

  • Work location: Texas Health Clearfork

  • Work environment: Radiology Diagnostic Department

  • Work hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday 9:30am to 6:00pm

  • Salary range: $23.75 - $35.96 per hour (based on relevant experience)

Texas Health Clearfork is a 54-bed Orthopedic Center of Excellence facility that includes surgical and imaging services, orthopedics and sports therapy, adult critical care, & beautiful views of the Trinity River. Texas Health Clearfork is considered a Tower of Texas Health Southwest, which has been serving Tarrant County residents since 1987, has 1,100 employees, 120 volunteers, and more than 600 physicians on its medical staff.   • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology (required) or

  • Associate Degree (preferred)

  • 1 year radiologic technologist experience (preferred)

  • OR/Surgery experience (*highly preferred)

  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care (required) and

  • CMRT – Certified Medical Radiologic Technologists Sonography by TDH or TMB (required) and

  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Sonography w/in 6 months (required)

Position Responsibilities A Texas Health Radiographer is responsible for explaining procedures to patient or guardian/family member if applicable prior to and during exam, imaging correct anatomical area of interest and pathology according to department protocols, and performing complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations.

In addition to the required qualifications, a successful Radiographer will

  • assist radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique.

  • process and manipulate images, analyze image quality, troubleshoots, make technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed.

  • correctly send and transfer images to PACS.

  • assess and recognize the patient’s emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and psychosocial conditions.

  • operate, care for and maintain equipment.

  • prepare room for examination (i.e. suction, oxygen, supplies).

  • administer contrast media and other medications in accordance with medication administration guidelines.

  • maintain equipment and room to sanitary standards between patients (injectors, table tops, floors).
