PRN position - variable shifts


Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology

Associates degree preferred


1+ years of previous Xray experience required

Hospital experience preferred


CMRT by either TMB or TDH

ARRT with in 6 months of hire

BCLS with in 30 days of hire


Computer skills


Shimadzu and Siemens Xray experience a plus

FUJI PACS experience a plus

Work Hours/Schedule: PRN (as needed), days/hours vary & may include weekend shifts



*Prepares room for examination (i.e. suction, oxygen, supplies) to/ensure apparatus is in working order and ready to use to reduce patient risk.

*Checks physician orders by initialing chart and exam requisitions to verify accuracy of exam and relevant clinical information.

*Demonstrates knowledge of emergency drugs and equipment to appropriately respond to patients in distress.

*Uses proper body mechanics when assisting patient and limited mobility devices i.e. table straps to ensure the safety of patient and staff.

*Safely administers contrast media and other medication in accordance with medication administration guidelines to provide proper medication dosages; uses appropriate route, and is alert to response to medication that may vary with age of patient.


*Explains procedures to patient or guardian/family member if applicable prior to exam to improve understanding of procedure according to age-specific needs and according to patient’s learning capacity and language barriers.

*Performs complex radiographic procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations according to departmental policies and procedures.

*Analyzes image quality and technique adjustments on QA workstation to produce diagnostic images.

*Process digital image on QA workstation and send to PACS to prepare images for physicians.

*Complete exams in CareConnect proficiently to ensure availability of image for dictation.


*Operates, cares for and maintains all equipment to provide proper utilization of apparatus provide proper utilization of apparatus.

*Applies knowledge of physics and accessories to maintain acceptable image quality maintain acceptable image quality.

*Troubleshoots and properly documents equipment malfunction to ensure timely repairs and patient safety.

*Maintain equipment and room to sanitary standards to create a safe environment and follow infection control standards.


*Maintain and enhances technical skills and technology advancement to enhance professional contribution.

*Uses CPM philosophy to work in partnership with patients, families, co-workers, and physicians to enhance customer service and promote patient desired outcomes.

*Recognizes and communicates ethical and legal concerns through established channels of communication for well-being and safety of patient.


*Identify and troubleshoot workflow processes to suggest department or hospital process improvements.

*Participates in departmental quality improvement processes to improve the quality of customer service and patient-family journey.

*Attends departmental continuing education, meetings, and checks email in a timely manner to improve communication, customer service, and professional development.
