Texas Health Resources Radiology Clerk PRN - As Needed in Fort Worth, Texas


Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent required

1 year of clerical or medical office experience preferred

Required Licensure: CPR within 30 days. of hire

Skill and Abilities: Computer keyboard, filing, transporting patients within the hospital, good customer service, interpersonal and communication


Job Duties:


• Greets all patients/visitors upon arrival in department

• Answers incoming calls to the department

• Informs patients on exam preparations and instructions

• Monitors patient waiting times

• Verifies orders and enters into appropriate system

• Fulfills requests for copies of patient records and films


• Match up orders to patient identifiers

• Obtains ticket to travel

• Obtains patient information for the technologist

• Prepares patient and all equipment


• Uses multidisciplinary, team oriented actions

• Maintains the cleanliness of equipment and reports needed repairs

• Maintain work area to sanitary standards

• Keeps all food and beverages out of patient care areas


• Maintain and enhances communication skills and technology

• Uses" Living the Promise” philosophy to work in partnership with patients, families, co-workers, and physicians

• Recognizes and communicates ethical and legal concerns through established channels of communication

• Flexible with scheduling to help meet departmental / patient needs

• Adapts to changes in workload assignment to meet changing needs of the department
