Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab – PRN, Days
Progressive Cardiac Cath Lab department is looking for top skilled nurses. Is that you?
Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1304 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104
Work hours: PRN/per diem, PRN II, Minimum requirement: 3 shift per 6-week schedule; 1 weekend shift per six-week schedule, 1 major/1minor holiday shift
Department highlights:
Cath lab department with 6 Suites/Treatment rooms averaging 20 cases per day
We are open 24/7 Monday through Friday and have after hour, holidays, and weekend on-call requirements (with 30 min distance response time).

Here’s What You Need
Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
CLIAFE – Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
ACLS – within 90 days of hire required
1-year experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
Minimum 1-year Cath Lab/EP Lab experience
RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care
The professional nurse exhibits understanding of basic human needs.
The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of patient’s affiliations
In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will
demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients
possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
have basic computer skills using medical management application systems
What You Will Do
Circulating RN + scrub and documentation role, administer moderate sedation for Cardiac, Peripheral Electrophysiology cases and Device Implants
Taking STEMI call for myocardial infarctions
Role is dependent on experience, but RNs start out in Circulating Role prior to learning other roles
Experience with structural heart, TAVR, Watchman and Mitroclip preferred
Patient population consists of adult patients with Cardiac, Structural Heart, Peripheral Vascular and Electrophysiology related disease
