Supervisor Cardiac Device Clinic – Heart & Vascular Specialists

Fast-paced, high-volume clinic is looking for top skilled Supervisor Cardiac Device Clinic

Work location: 1300 West Terrell Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104

Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Travel: 25% to surrounding clinics as needed

Here’s What You Need

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)

  • 3 years relevant work experience in the Cardiovascular Field [i.e., Implantable Cardiac Device Clinic, Hospital, or Device Industry] (required)

  • Previous Cardiology Device Clinic experience (strongly preferred)

  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire (required)

  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire (required)

A successful Supervisor Cardiac Device Clinic will have

  • Working knowledge of cardiac implantable devices

  • Working knowledge of holter monitoring and event monitoring as related to cardiac devices

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Excellent communications skills and ability to interact with staff and management

  • Proven ability to handle personnel actions and leading others

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within field

  • Possesses a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

  • Advanced knowledge of EKG interpretation

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Supervisor Cardiac Device Clinic Process

  • Working knowledge of cardiac implantable devices

  • Ability to perform implantable cardiac device interrogation, interpretation and problem solving while collaborating with the physician.

  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills- effectively resolving issues related to implantable cardiac devices, making recommendation for revision, trouble-shooting with goal to optimize clinical outcomes.

  • Provides leadership in ensuring proper training of device clinic staff, performance management, and coordinating work schedules as needed. This includes recommending staffing or schedules changes to meet the needs of the patients.

  • Develops/revises guidelines for the device clinic as technology of devices change. This includes in clinic device checks along with remote checks such as Carelink, and transtelephonic check (TTM).

  • Provides patients with detailed pre and post implantation instructions, answering questions as needed.

  • Serves as a liaison between patient and physician and/or APP for more complicated questions.

  • May call patient with testing results, assist with pre-authorizations, and/or fill out FMLA and/or other paperwork as directed by the physician/APP.

  • Performs clinic administration and other duties as assigned.
