Surgery Residency Program Coordinator
We’re looking for a qualified Surgery Residency Program Coordinator like you to join our Texas Health family .
Position Highlights
Work location: Texas Health Harris 1301 Pennsylvania Ave Fort Worth, TX 76104
Work hours: Full Time, 40 hours, Days; Monday-Friday 8am-5:30pm (additional hours may be required as needed)
Under the Direction of the Director of Medical Education and Residency Program Director:
Develops and conducts studies and surveys relevant to residency programs, resident education and medical student education which are used to monitor and enhance the program.
Develops and maintains residency program schedules, evaluation and tracks resident attendance.
Develops, implements and maintains departmental recordkeeping and filing systems.
Assists in preparing complex administrative and statistical reports and projects.
Performs a variety of general secretarial duties and administrative responsibilities, also performs duties and projects specific to the functions and needs of the department.
Places, receives and routes telephone calls and messages; screens and prioritizes calls.
Determines hardware and software needs for the residency education.
Creates and maintains a compatible system with education hardware and software.
Assists residents in research and quality improvement databases; tracking resident and faculty involvement in research and quality improvement projects using databases.
Prepare and maintain and update residency database system materials and information (RMS, ACGME Systems, Academic Board Systems).
Maintain accurate and timely information and provide training on the Residency Management System, New Innovations.
Maintain the residency website and provide marketing with updated information.
Attend and host project meetings and other committee meetings as necessary (PEC, CCC, GMEC)
Maintain confidential resident, medical student, and faculty files including, but not limited to, physician licenses, certifications, and credentialing records.
Monitors and tracks faculty Continued Medical Education Credits.
Maintain biographical information on all residents and update information on alumni in a database.
Provide other administrative assistance to Program Director/Associate Program Director.

Education
H.S. Diploma or Equivalent 6 Years in administrative capacity Req Or
Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Education, Communication or related field 2 Years in administrative capacity Req
Experience
6 Years in administrative capacity w/H.S. Diploma Req or
2 Years in administrative capacity w/Bachelor's degree Req
graduate medical education or related field Pref
Licenses and Certifications
Other C-TAGME Upon Hire Pref
Skills
Ability to understand the dynamics and objectives of the residency program and develop an in-depth understanding of ACGME Institutional, Specialty and Program Requirements and Policies.
Proficiency with computer application, online resources and equipment utilized by the department.
Knowledge of the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), National Residency Matching Program (NRMP), Accreditation Data System/Case Log System (ADS), FRIEDA, and other residency database systems preferred.
