Position Highlights

Work location: 12400 N Dallas Parkway, Frisco TX 75033.

Work environment: Admitting Department – Patient Access Services.

Work hours:

  • Full Time; 40 hours per week.

  • Monday - Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm, may occasionally require working some evenings/weekends, based on department business needs.

Salary range: $22.24/hour – Maximum: $35.17/hour, based on relevant experience.

Texas Health Hospital Frisco, a health care campus designed to be a destination for the residents of Frisco and surrounding communities.

Texas Health Frisco will be a place where every experience matter. Located on 20 acres off the Dallas North Tollway in northwest Collin County, Texas Health Frisco will feature a 325,000-square-foot, 73-bed acute care hospital that will include a 24/7 emergency room, surgical services, women’s services and a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

The 120,000-square-foot medical office building will house primary care practices and a multispecialty clinic. Offering this broad range of clinical specialties in one location will bring comprehensive health care to Northwest Collin County, exceeding the unique needs of each individual and the collective well-being of the community.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Prefers 2 years of college coursework in Information Technology/Information Systems.

  • 3 years of Insurance (Medical/Health) verification, Hospital Admitting/Patient Registration, or Business Office experience required.

  • Previous technical support, training, and beta testing experience preferred.

  • Project Management, Training Coordination and Writing Training Curriculum experience highly preferred.

  • Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) upon hire preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Analytical and administrative skills necessary to accurately compile statistics, write Ad hoc reports, maintain logs, and input data into various computer programs.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse user groups.

  • Planning and project management skills.

  • Personal Computer (PC) proficient with knowledge of PC applications including Windows XP, Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong interpersonal communication, documentation, and customer service skills required.

Position Responsibilities

Texas Health Frisco Patient Access Application Specialist is responsible for providing an excellent patient healthcare experience at each Texas Health site.

Essential Functions

  • Manage departmental information systems, acting as primary contact for questions and issues related to Information Systems including the training of all new staff hired.

  • Assist users with software, hardware, and telecommunication problems and act as liaison to Information Systems support services.

  • Responsible for correcting errors to ensure integrity of patient demographic, revenue/billing, and quality assurance data and information.

  • Use computer systems and analytical skills to understand how a computer system fits into the workflow of the Admission Department.

  • Provide technical support and consulting for PC based applications and the ability to integrate their use in the continued improvement of the Admission Department.

  • Work with Information Systems (System, Network, and Interface Analysts) and vendors for testing and implementation of new software systems and upgrades.
