Position Highlights

Work location: Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway, Frisco TX 75033.

Work environment: Pharmacy Department.

Work hours:

  • PRN/As Needed; Non-benefitted.

  • Must be available to work as needed, Sunday – Saturday, either 5:00am – 3:30pm or 1:30pm – 12:00am.

Salary range: Minimum: $18.56/hour – Maximum: $28.13/hour, based on relevant experience. Plus, shift differentials between $1.75/hour to $4.25/hour, as applicable.

Texas Health Hospital Frisco , a health care campus designed to be a destination for the residents of Frisco and surrounding communities.

Texas Health Frisco will be a place where every experience matter. Located on 20 acres off the Dallas North Tollway in northwest Collin County, Texas Health Frisco will feature a 325,000-square-foot, 73-bed acute care hospital that will include a 24/7 emergency room, surgical services, women’s services and a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

The 120,000-square-foot medical office building will house primary care practices and a multispecialty clinic. Offering this broad range of clinical specialties in one location will bring comprehensive health care to Northwest Collin County, exceeding the unique needs of each individual and the collective well-being of the community.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

  • 6 months of experience in a Hospital Pharmacy required.

  • 1 year of Hospital Pharmacy experience highly preferred.

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician required upon hire.

  • IV Certification highly preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be proficient in written and verbal English language communication skills.

  • Must be computer proficient.

  • Must possess basic math skills.

Position Responsibilities

Texas Health Frisco Pharmacy Tech II is responsible for providing an excellent patient healthcare experience.

Essential Functions

Tasks specific to Tech II:

• Functionality requiring additional competency above Tech 1

• Autonomous responsibility either with record keeping or as a single point of contact outside the department

• Advanced technology expertise and ownership

• Delegated functions of pharmacy leadership (manager or lead technicians).

Timely and accurate preparation, delivery & storage of medications, including (when appropriate) the use of technology to do so.

Ensuring accuracy of one's own work as well as the maintenance of required competencies, and other documentation.

Must reflect consistently departmental QI and PS standards, programs and initiatives.

Ongoing professional development and growth.

Communicate effectively, develop working relationships and role model teamwork.

Manages own time and shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.

Other duties as assigned​​​​.
