Texas Health Resources Admissions Lead - Admissions Department in Kaufman, Texas
Texas Health Kaufman located in Kaufman, TX is currently seeking to hire a full time Admissions Lead in their Admissions Department.
Full Time, 40 Hours per week.
Sunday: 3:00pm – 11:00pm.
Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday: 4:30pm – 1:00am.
Shifts can rotate based on the business needs of the department.
Required to work on holidays, and to be on-call on a rotational schedule.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2 years of Patient Access Services experience required.
Other hospital or physician office management experience helpful.
CHAA (Certified Healthcare Access Associate) upon hire preferred.
Ability to type 35 WPM, spell, write or print legibly with general knowledge of computers. Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as advanced interpersonal communication and customer service skills. Ability to handle heavy telephone activity and make decisions to adapt to rapid changes in processes. Knowledge of Medical terminology preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Responsible for providing guidance to line staff in the work area that is responsible for obtaining accurate financial and complete demographic information during Pre-Admission and/or Registration pertaining to the patient account. Scoring is based on Auditlogix Scorecard and supervisor manual review of patient accounts. The registration process may require use of Computers on Wheels.

thoroughly explains legal, ethical, and compliance related forms.
Maintains knowledge of local, state government, federal and THR Charity programs. Maintains the
ability to calculate out of pocket expenses by using the Estimator and/or THR Payment Estimate template. Provides all payment options: cash, checks, major credit cards/debit cards and THR Financing. Process(s) payments using the automated system (POS). This may require preparation and distribution of documents.
*Duplicate Medical Records:
Appropriately identifies patients in the Master Patient Index and assigns patient identification as per protocol.
*Automated Systems: Reviews on-line Advance Edits, Auditlogix, Nebo responses and perform necessary action to correct the patient account. Distributes corrections as appropriate.
*Other duties as assigned.
