Texas Health Resources MLT/MLS PRN in Kaufman, Texas
Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman seeks to hire a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) PRN to work as needed in their laboratory.
The address is 850 Highway 243 West, Kaufman, TX 75142.
Salary range for a MLS is Minimum $26.69/hr. to Maximum $39.50/hr. – based on relevant experience
Salary range for a MLT is Minimum $20.34/hr. to Maximum $31.15/hr. – based on relevant experience
Work Schedule:
PRN - as needed
Primary hours need coverage are 22:00 – 06:00; additional hours will be variable

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Associate’s degree or education equivalent to an Associate’s degree in a laboratory science or medical technology for a MLT (Must include at least 60 hours or equivalent from an accredited institution that include at a minimum either 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses or 24 semester hours of science courses that include at least 6 semester hours of chemistry, 6 semester hours of biology and 12 semester hours of chemistry, biology or medical laboratory technology in any combination
Bachelor’s Degree for an MLS (or attained within 3 months of hire date)
Preferred: Associates degree or Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Science or Chemical, Physical or Biological science (proof required)
Internship in an approved Medical Technician training program
Prior Generalist experience highly preferred
Required License/Certification:
MLS (ASCP), MT (ASCP), MLT (ASCP) required. (Registry must be attained within 90 days of hire date) Or
AMT, AAB, HHS, NCA, HEW, CLS- CA, FL, NY state license, Philippine Board of Technical Technology required Or
M (ASCP) – Microbiology if working in Microbiology required upon hire Or
BB (ASCP) – Blood Banking if working in Blood Bank
MLS (ASCP), MT (ASCP), MLT (ASCP) preferred
