Our Sleep Lab is seeking a Full Time Sleep Lab Tech to join our fantastic team.

Work hours: Full Time, 36 Hours 6:00pm – 6:30am

Here’s What You Need
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Successful completion of an acceptable polysomnography program of no less than one years duration associated with a state licensed and/or nationally accredited educational facility or equivalent experience and documented proficiency at all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technologist preferred
One year in a Sleep Lab/Center preferably within a hospital setting required
RPSGT – Registered Polysomnographic Technician upon hire required and
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly upon hire required
What You Will Do
Be responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing testing and/or treatment and the use of equipment to minimize any hazards.
Review patient's medical history, allergies, current medications, patient questionnaire.
Explain procedures to patient before, during and after sleep study, to include pre-testing, testing and post-testing procedures.
Perform patient set-up: attaches electrodes and monitors to patient according to accepted standards.
Follow procedural protocols [such as Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT), Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT), parasomnia studies, PAP, oxygen titration, etc.] to ensure collection of appropriate data. Monitor patient via video for any unusual sleep behaviors.
Ensure signals are received on the computer and all monitors are recording data throughout the sleep study.
Perform polysomnographic data acquisition while monitoring study-tracing quality to ensure signals are artifact-free, making adjustments as necessary.
