Position Highlights

  • Work location: 624 West I-30, Royse City, TX 75189

  • Work environment: Family Care

  • Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday & Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm, Tuesday thru Thursday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

  • $1,500 sign-on bonus for eligible CMAs (eligible upon hire with a signed retention agreement)

Texas Health Physicians Group (THPG) is a not-for-profit physician organization with more than 250 locations and 800 physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants dedicated to providing quality care in clinics and medical offices throughout North Texas.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

  • Current Medical Assistant Certification (required)

  • 1 year Medical Assistant experience (preferred)

  • Phlebotomy experience (preferred)

  • Pediatric experience, including administering Immunizations (preferred)

  • ACLS or BLS (preferred)

  • Non-Certified Radiologic Technician training (will be required if not NCT certified)

Position Responsibilities THPG Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes the safety and well-being of all patients, demonstrating excellent customer service while rooming patients, obtaining chief complaint and vitals, handling of specimens, charting visit information and performing injections as needed. You may also be responsible for some administrative tasks on an as-needed basis.

In addition to the required qualifications, a successful CMA will

  • have the ability to spend at least 90% of their time running the in-clinic lab

  • have the ability to do blood draws for all the 6 Providers in the clinic, as well as other tests (urine, A1C, etc.)

  • have the ability to perform EKGs and administer injections as needed

  • be able to effectively communicate with both staff and patients and have thorough knowledge of the meaning and use of medical terminology and abbreviations

  • demonstrate sound judgement in emergency situations, as well as take appropriate action in urgent circumstances

  • maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients

  • possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism

  • have basic computer skills using Medical management application systems
